BFB= Bully Free Bro
On a beautiful spring day last week the lucky Year 4 and 5's from our school walked to the Rotorua Stadium to watch the Steamers Rugby Team train. Along with 500 other children from other Rotorua schools we had a fantastic time as not only did we see the team train but they gave us their signature and talked to everyone. We were lucky to have Panda for our guide. He and another player told us about their life and who inspires them to achieve so well. They also told us about being 'Bully Free Bro' and that bullying is not acceptable and definitely not cool. Steamy their mascot and one of the guys asked questions and then gave out amazing prizes like rugby balls, hats and drink bottles. Some of our class were lucky to get prizes. We all had a really enjoyable morning and returned to school happy, starving and with thoughts of trying really hard to achieve our goals. Go the Steamers!
